I did something quite rare today: I watched the news. Two things caught my attention:
1. More and more maternity hospitals are turning away expectant mothers in labour. (Of course we already know that they are turning away sick people in droves.)
2. The war in iraq is costing... £1bn a year.
I wonder... Are the two somehow connected?
